DID YOU KNOW…….!?The unemployment rate for African Americans is consistently higher than that of white Americans. As of the latest available data, the unemployment rate for Black Americans was approximately 9.6%, compared to 5.3% for white Americans

In this engaging article, author Jordan Reid accuses former President Donald Trump of using Black voters as props for his own benefit. Reid highlights Trump's recent speeches targeted at Black audiences and argues that he is not being subtle about it.

Reid points out that Trump has a long history of racist remarks and actions, including his controversial Central Park Five case. The author also criticizes the far right's recent use of artificial intelligence to create images of Trump surrounded by adoring Black voters, calling it an attempt to deceive voters, particularly Black voters.

Reid concludes by emphasizing the importance of scrutinizing Trump's statements and checking for AI manipulations before casting ballots.

Vice President Kamala Harris is struggling to gain the trust of swing voters despite strong support from the Democratic base, according to a recent poll. The USA Today/Suffolk University poll found that 52% of registered voters view Harris's job performance negatively, while only 36% approve of her handling of the role.

This lack of trust is particularly prevalent among critical voting blocs needed for a Biden-Harris reelection, such as independents, black voters, and Hispanic voters. Many swing voters doubt Harris's qualifications for the vice presidency, with some questioning whether her selection was solely based on her race and gender.

Both Harris and President Joe Biden are facing growing concerns among independent voters, who could heavily influence the outcome of the election. Democrats are worried about the threat of a third-party ticket, which could help former President Donald Trump win.

Despite the challenges, Harris still maintains strong support among her base, with 76% of Democratic voters approving of her role as vice president.

A pro-Trump super PAC called MAGA Inc. has launched radio advertisements in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Allentown, Harrisburg, Georgia, and Michigan that use anti-transgender messaging to appeal to Black voters and dampen President Joe Biden's support.

The ads quote Biden saying that "the civil rights issue of our time is transgender equality" and argue that men competing against girls and using girls' bathrooms is not a civil rights issue. The goal of the ads is not to win over African American voters to Trump, but rather to make them question whether Biden is doing something wrong.

The ads also criticize Biden's failure to secure the border and end by claiming that President Trump will protect girls' sports teams and stop the sexualization of children. While there is some research indicating that anti-transgender messaging could backfire, the Republican Party has previously used socially conservative policies to appeal to Black voters.

Mark Robinson, the Republican nominee for governor in North Carolina, is facing criticism for his bigoted remarks, including quoting Hitler, referring to LGBTQ people as "filth," and depicting Muslims as terrorists. In response, Robinson, who is Black, is claiming that he is the real victim of bigotry.

He argues that liberals are criticizing him in order to prevent a conservative Black man from holding power in the Republican Party and appealing to disaffected Black voters in the Democratic Party. However, there is no evidence to suggest that Robinson has broad appeal among Black voters.

In fact, his opponent won all of the majority-Black counties in the state during his 2020 lieutenant governor's race. Robinson's strategy seems to be framing himself as a Black icon under attack from leftists in order to overcome the negative impact of his remarks.

Black Voters Matter has issued a statement expressing gratitude and respect for Secretary Marcia L. Fudge upon her resignation from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and retirement from public life.

Fudge's tenure at HUD was characterized by a commitment to reducing the racial wealth gap, advancing racial equity, and uplifting Black communities. She made significant strides in creating a more equitable society, particularly through HUD's work to increase the supply of affordable housing and the expansion of rental assistance programs.

Fudge's vision also extended to sustainability and resilience through initiatives like the Green and Resilient Retrofit Program. Additionally, she prioritized serving the homeless population, housing over 1.

2 million people in need. Fudge's legacy as a role model for Black female leaders and her dedication to equity and justice will continue to inspire and empower.

Black Voters Matter remains committed to carrying on Fudge's work and fighting for a just and equitable society for all.

It remains unclear whether young, Black voters in South Carolina will show strong support for Joe Biden in the upcoming general election. In the state's Democratic primary on February 3, 68% of voters were Black, but only 4% of registered voters turned out.

Prior to the primary, polling by the New York Times indicated that Biden was struggling to gain the support of Black voters in swing states, which was a cause for concern among Democratic organizers. While Biden won the primary easily, receiving 96% of the vote, there is uncertainty about whether this support will carry over to the general election.

Younger Black voters may not be as enthusiastic about Biden, with concerns about his age and his handling of certain issues. Voter-registration and Democratic-leaning organizations are working hard to engage and mobilize young voters, particularly through social media platforms.

The hope is that having Donald Trump as an opponent in November will motivate more young people to vote. However, some young voters are still fans of Biden, pointing to his energy and perceived effectiveness as president.

Overall, the key issue for Biden will be whether he can inspire young voters to turn out and support him in the general election.

Let's continue to raise our voices, cast our votes, and shape our future together. Stay empowered, stay informed, and keep advocating for change. Until tomorrow, remember: every vote counts!
