DID YOU KNOW….!?African Americans have significantly less intergenerational wealth compared to white Americans. The median wealth of Black families is just 13% of the median wealth of white families

A new report from Pew Research Center shows that the Republican Party has closed the gap with Democrats on the number of registered voters, and both parties have become more diverse. Notable changes include Republicans making gains among rural voters, white evangelicals, and voters without a college degree, while Democrats have held onto key constituencies such as Black voters, younger voters, and college-educated voters. Some highlights from the report include:

⭐️ In 2024, registered voters are evenly split along party lines, with 49% identifying as Democrats and 48% identifying as Republicans.
⭐️ Both parties have become more racially and ethnically diverse since the 1990s, but the Democratic Party has seen more change in its composition.
⭐️ The Republican Party has seen a 14% drop in the percentage of white voters, while the Democratic Party has seen a 21% drop.
⭐️ Hispanics have tripled in both parties, making up 9% of Republicans and 16% of Democrats.
⭐️ Church attendance is linked to Republican party affiliation, except among Black voters.
⭐️ Younger voters are less likely to identify with a specific party, with 52% saying they are independent or something else.
⭐️ There is a gender gap in partisan affiliation, with men more likely to associate with the Republican Party and women tending to lean toward the Democratic Party. This gap is wider among unmarried men and women.

A recent poll conducted by the Pew Research Center suggests that Donald Trump is unlikely to gain significant support from Black voters in the upcoming presidential election. The survey found that 83% of Black voters favor the Democratic Party, while only 12% support the Republican Party. 📊 The study focused on party preferences and did not ask participants about specific candidates. However, some experts believe that while many Black voters may not be excited about reelecting Joe Biden, they are still unlikely to choose Trump. Former ESPN host Sage Steele, on the other hand, believes that Trump is the obvious choice due to his policies and what he has shown he can do for the country. Despite differing opinions, the poll indicates that Trump faces an uphill battle 😬 in winning over significant Black support.

🗞️ Black voters were key to President Joe Biden's 2020 win, but some polls suggest their support may be wavering in 2024 due to money woes. 💰🤔

👉 Jennifer Garner, a caregiver and driver from Cleveland, voted for Biden in 2020 but is now researching other candidates. She's feeling the financial pressure of high prices, expensive housing, and student debt payments.

🔍 Some Black voters may turn to a third-party candidate out of frustration, and former President Donald Trump is hoping to capitalize on this. He argues that Black voters were financially better off when he was in office.

💪 To counter Trump, the Biden campaign is spending millions on radio ads in swing states at Black-owned and Latino-owned radio stations. They're highlighting the administration's accomplishments, including investments in historically Black colleges and universities and the cancellation of student loan debt.

📊 However, some Black voters still want to see more action on issues like student debt relief and affordable healthcare. They feel that actions speak louder than words in improving their financial burden.

🗳️ While the January NBC News poll showed that 75% of Black voters would vote for Biden in 2024, it's clear that economic concerns are impacting their support. The Biden administration's response, as well as the actions of other candidates, could greatly influence the Black vote in the upcoming election.

🎥 Senator Tim Scott has launched a new video series called "America's Starting Five," featuring five of America's 🖤🐘 Republican lawmakers. The series aims to discuss what it means to be a Black Republican during the 2024 presidential election. The first episode features a roundtable discussion with Scott and Representatives Burgess Owens, John James, and Wesley Hunt, where they touch on topics such as the growing demographic of Black Republicans and Joe Biden's controversial comments about Black voters. The videos are designed to mimic a casual meeting place for Black men, drawing inspiration from barbershops in the Black community. The series is part of Scott's effort to reach out to Black voters and secure their support for his party. Former President Donald Trump has expressed support for Scott as a potential running mate. The second installment of the series is set to premiere on April 12. 📺

The claim that Black voters are shifting to the Republican Party and causing a potential realignment in politics may be premature and unfounded, according to some political experts. 🧐 While there has been speculation about Black voters showing support for President Donald Trump and becoming more Trump-curious, the overall support for the Democratic Party among Black voters has remained steady. 📈 Experts argue that there is not enough evidence to suggest a realignment is taking place, particularly when looking at general election data. The focus on the Black vote in media coverage ignores the fact that white voters, across different income levels, still largely support Trump. 🗣️ The Republican Party's current image and healthiness may actually deter many Black voters from supporting the party. While some Black voters may have genuine grievances with the Democratic Party, the unhealthy state of the Republican Party makes it difficult for them to consider supporting it.

President Joe Biden is set to deliver a live virtual keynote address at the National Action Network Convention, a racial justice conference organized by Rev. Al Sharpton. 🎙️ This comes as Biden aims to ramp up his reelection campaign and appeal to Black voters. The White House stated that during his remarks, Biden will highlight his achievements and policies implemented to address racial inequity. 👏 The president's address will follow a week of appearances from administration officials and prominent national and local politicians. However, Biden will not be taking questions from attendees after his remarks. 🙅‍♂️ The event is significant as it comes at a time when Biden's approval among Black Americans has decreased slightly, with around 45% disapproving of his job performance. 😕

Donald Trump's recent campaign stop at an Atlanta Chick-fil-A 🐔 has sparked media attention and offered insight into his outreach efforts to Black voters. The visit was part of a larger effort by the Trump campaign to make inroads with Democrats' most committed voting bloc. While Trump's outreach to African Americans has been criticized for playing on racial stereotypes, the Chick-fil-A visit was seen as a win for his campaign. The visit was coordinated with local activists and students from historically Black colleges in Atlanta. Students from colleges such as Morehouse and Spelman expressed interest in meeting Trump, and a group gathered at the Chick-fil-A to wait for him. The event was seen as a success by Trump's allies, who believe he can make significant inroads with Black voters. However, critics argue that the visit was a mockery of the institutions and disrespectful to ancestors. 👍💔

The article explores the history of the Communist Party in Alabama during the Great Depression 👥, focusing on its efforts to organize and mobilize black workers in the state 👊🌟. The Communist Party saw itself as part of an international movement and drew inspiration from the Russian Revolution 🚩🌍 and Marxist theory 📚. The party saw the struggle against racism and class oppression as interconnected and fought for both simultaneously ✊🏿🚩. However, the party faced intense repression from both the state and white supremacist groups, which ultimately led to its decline 😢. The article argues that the legacy of the Communist Party and its efforts to organize black workers should be recognized and examined in order to understand the history of both labor struggles and the Civil Rights Movement ✊👥.

Furthermore, the article emphasizes the role of religion in the black community, which influenced the Alabama Communists' fight 🙏. It discusses how the party organized unemployed individuals and sharecroppers in their efforts to combat racism and exploitation 🛠️.

Despite facing repression, the article highlights how the Alabama Communists weathered the storm through organizing, armed self-defense, and courage ⚔️.
